Traditional guitar techniques and music theory are implemented and taught in a way that works with present day music.

Students learn from the Frets & Fingers Syllabus which is carefully crafted to take beginners to a Grade 1 standard within 3 terms of lessons (34 lessons).

If a year 6 student who started learning guitar in year 3 and has been dedicated to attending the lessons and practising regularly would start their secondary school as a year 7 at a Grade 4 standard. Grade 4 at age 11 is a very high standard for guitar.

Guitar in Schools ensure students realise their progress by taking them through the Trinity College Grade Syllabus (classical guitar).

Guitar in Schools organise an examination session with Trinity College in July of each year.
